Alloy Al – 6XN has exceptional corrosion resistance chloride, pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and excellent resistance to general corrosion various acids, alkalis, and salt solutions.

Composition.

The high strength and corrosion resistance AL- 6XN alloy that is better than the other steel superaustenitic steels such as 904L or 254 SMO option. It also exceeds the duplex stainless steels – such as 2205 or 2507 – and is a cost effective alternative to alloys more expensive nickel in applications where excellent formability, weldability, strength, and corrosion resistance are essential.
